Audition for Devising of Ordnung performance

A GROUP AUDITION for DEVISING—directed by Rick Kemp

To create and perform dramatic material to add to ORDNUNG, AN AMISH BALLET

SATURDAY, APRIL ^23rd, 2:00-5:00, WALLER HALL

All participants will be involved for the whole session.

Auditions for all TBTG productions are open to the entire university community. We welcome people of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, and abilities.

To audition, fill in an Audition form (must download to fill fields) and send it to rkemp@iup.edu , copying Production  Manager Nancy Pipkin-Hutchinson at npipkin@iup.edu. Please wear comfortable clothing in which you can move freely.

Devising involves performers, designers and technicians working together to create and present new material. In this group audition, participants will engage in games and exercises to facilitate collaborative creation. This audition process does not require memorized monologues or prepared performances. In Fall 2022, the Devising Ensemble will create and perform dramatic material to add to “ORDNUNG, AN AMISH BALLET” a ballet written and choreographed by Joan Van Dyke. ORDNUNG tells the story of a young Amish woman who pursues education against the wishes of her community.

PERFORMANCE DATES: NOVEMBER 10,11,12

Development of content will take place in September and October primarily on Wednesdays 2:45-4:40.

Additional rehearsals will involve some evening and weekend sessions.
