The IUP Ambassadors were founded in 1993 under the direction of the IUP Alumni Association for the purpose of serving as a link between prospective students, current students, administrators, faculty members, alumni, and friends of IUP. The organization works to engage alumni and current students with campus life and makes students more aware of their potential roles as IUP alumni.
The IUP Ambassadors work regularly with the Office of Alumni and Friends, administrators, alumni, and special guests of IUP. Specifically, they play an important role in various alumni events, IUP Homecoming, as well as young alumni and student engagement, admissions, and career networking programs.
To achieve membership balance, we are seeking first or second semester freshmen or sophomores; however, upperclassmen will also be considered. Our hope is that our IUP Ambassador membership continues to be diverse in all ways and represents all academic colleges and departments.
