American Medical Students Association

The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is a student run organization at IUP intended for students who are interested in pursuing the medical field or simply have any interest in the medical field. This includes pre-medicine, pre-veterinarian, pre-pharmacy, pre-optometry, pre-dental, pre-chiropractic, pre-physical therapy, pre-podiatry, and physician assistant students. We also have recently had nursing students join the organization! AMSA strives for professionalism on campus as well as extending important opportunities to pre-professional majors. AMSA provides community service opportunities, test prep, advice, visits to medical schools, and meetings with doctors already in the field!  Come check us out, we would love for you to be there! Membership in this organization is open to all members of the IUP community.
