The American Society of Interior Designers’ aims and purposes are:
To provide the opportunity for professional interaction with outstanding leaders in the interior design field
To promote interior design awareness within the IUP community
To provide leadership opportunities to IUP students
To promote career understanding and aid in the transition into the professional field of interior design
To provide greater visibility of IUP’s Interior Design program
To demonstrate and encourage active participation among group members
To encourage service to the community
To encourage growth beyond the classroom and demonstrate the relevance of education to the real world
