Delta Zeta
About
Delta Zeta is a women’s membership organization with a vision to truly inspire action and impact lives globally through philanthropy, scholarship, and service. Built upon true and lasting friendship, our sisterhood empowers and prepares members for their futures with the shared experiences and values we hold dear. Our strong and genuine sisterhood is founded upon the principles of friendship, community, generosity, curiosity, empowerment, and belonging.
We proudly represent our organization with the colors of rose and green, our flower the pink Killarney Rose, our badge the Roman Lamp, our jewel the diamond, and our mascot the turtle. Founded in 1902 at Miami University of Oxford, Ohio by 5 courageous women.
Our national philanthropies include aid for those with speech and hearing impairments through the Starkey Hearing Foundation; The American Society for Deaf Children; Heart for Hearing and Speech Day; Serious Fun Campaign; and Painted Turtle Camp for terminally ill children. Our sisters also raise money for local causes like The Christian Cochran Foundation, Four Footed Friends, the local food bank, and more.
Delta Zeta raises funds through on-campus events such as Hoops for Hearing; Raffle Baskets; Bingo Boards; DZ Dodgeball; DZ Mac and Cheesy; Destress with DZ; and other fun philanthropic activities!
Being a sister allows for many career-building possibilities, like Delta Zeta Truly Connected Gather, which is a premier opportunity for DZ members to network, build skills necessary for navigating careers at any stage, and participate in professional growth opportunities within their post-undergraduate years.
