LGBTQIA Support

LGBTQIA Support at IUP serves the entire IUP community, including students, faculty, and staff. In collaboration with University offices and colleagues such as the Office of Social Equity, LGBTQIA Advocacy works to create a welcoming and supportive campus climate that supports all LGBTQIA individuals.

Our Principles:

• Communication of our goals and progress through campus climate assessment and education‐based campus initiatives such as Spirit Week.
• Collaboraton with members of the IUP community through ally‐based awareness,  engagement of campus groups, and support for student success.
• Community Development by addressing LGBTQIA community and environmental  needs and coordinating large‐scale programming such as the “True Colors of LGBTQIA Leadership Conference” held in April of 2015.
