National Art Education Association

The mission of the National Art Education Association is to provide a smooth transition from art education preparation to professional practice. Further, to raise/maintain a high standard of quality art education on campus and in the community. Membership and meetings are open to all students attending IUP. 

Topics of conversation at our annual weekly meetings held in Sprowls 213, may include gaining a greater perspective about teaching insight, art, and contemporary concepts in art education.

In years prior, we as a student organization have sponsored service projects such as exhibitions, speakers, etc.; promoted an exchange of ideas in art education; and, promoted a career in both art education and other areas of the arts. Additionally, our officers attend NAEA's national conventions every few years to communicate ideas with other art educators, whether that be preservice or service professionals.
