Student Association of Allied Health Simulations

The mission of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Student Association of Allied Health Simulations (IUP SAAHS) is to:

• Create and administer experiences to the healthcare-related students of IUP to promote professional growth
• Improve interdisciplinary understanding between the different healthcare-related majors at IUP
• Facilitate and teach effective communication between interdisciplinary professionals and between professionals and their clients
• Help develop empathy for all people, including family members, clients, and coworkers

Membership is open to all students, undergraduate and graduate, of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania who are committed to helping foster the above missions, either as a healthcare-related major, a major which plans to involve themselves in healthcare such as social workers, and any other students who are committed to improving the empathy, communication, and understanding between healthcare professionals and their clients.
