Welcome Week
About
Welcome week is a nine-day program that provides new students the opportunity to become better acquainted with IUP and one another. You will bond with your classmates through a variety of events while becoming familiar with the campus and resources available to you. Your faculty will introduce you to the collegiate classroom and provide information about academic opportunities that IUP has to offer.
Scholarship, tradition, and community are the foundation for the weekend. The Class of 2027 will get to experience these important fundamentals through a variety of programs. Students will have department meetings. Each evening there will be exciting events such as a movie night, DJs, dances, game nights, carnivals and more! Welcome weekend culminates with the annual Convocation ceremony, signifying your start as an IUP student.
